Cookie Policy
What cookies HVACPool sets, why they exist, and how to turn them off.
The short version: essential cookies keep the site working, analytics cookies tell us which guides get read, and we run no advertising trackers at all.

What a Cookie Is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can remember something between pages or between visits — that you are signed in, what is in your basket, or that you already dismissed a banner. Local storage and tracking pixels do much the same job and are covered by this policy too.
Strictly Necessary
Always on. Cannot be disabled.
These keep your session alive, remember your cookie choices so you are not asked on every page, and protect forms against cross-site request forgery.
WordPress and WooCommerce set several automatically, including wordpress_logged_in, woocommerce_cart_hash and woocommerce_items_in_cart. Blocking these breaks forms and cart function.
Analytics
Set only with your consent.
These tell us which guides are read, how visitors arrive and where they leave. We use it to decide what to write next and what to fix.
The data is aggregated. We do not use it to identify you or build a profile of you as an individual.
Advertising
None. We set none at all.
HVACPool runs no advertising cookies and no cross-site behavioural tracking.
If that ever changes, this page will be updated first and your consent will be requested before any such cookie is set.
Cookies Set by Others
Some cookies come from services we embed rather than from us — an analytics script or an embedded video player, for example. We do not control those, and the provider’s own privacy policy governs them.
How to Control Cookies
Use the cookie banner to accept or reject the non-essential categories. You can change your decision at any time by clearing the site’s cookies in your browser, which makes the banner reappear.
Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all let you block or delete cookies under their privacy settings, and all offer a private browsing mode that discards them when you close the window. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of this site working.
Do Not Track
Browsers implement Do Not Track inconsistently and no agreed standard exists for how a site should respond. We therefore do not act on DNT signals. Our cookie banner is the reliable way to control what is set.
Changes
We review this policy whenever we add or remove a service that sets cookies. The date above changes when we do.
